Account Manager

The Role
Kite Hill is currently looking for an Account Manager to join our growing teams in NYC and the UK. Do you have a passion for driving public relations campaigns forward and managing account teams for clients in the ad tech and media industries? If so, we’d love to hear from you!

Position Summary:

  • Serve as a day-to-day contact for client accounts

  • Be responsible for media outreach and executing on integrated communications campaigns

  • Be responsible for content production, including press releases and bylined articles, while demonstrating in-depth knowledge of a client’s business

  • Ensure that accounts are strategically on target with a client’s business goals

  • Manage several accounts/teams and participate in mentoring Account Executives, Assistants and Interns to ensure that each team member understands their role to push the account forward


Qualifications:

  • B.A./B.S. in PR, Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Journalism or related discipline

  • 4-6 years of public relations experience, including relevant agency experience

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively develop a full range of materials (i.e. bylined articles, press releases, client decks, reports, etc.)

  • Excellent research and proofreading/editing skills

  • Experience pitching journalists and a proven track record of securing media placements

  • Experience pitching new business

  • Experience working with clients in the technology, advertising, marketing or media/publishing industries (client-facing experience is a must!)

  • Creative problem-solving, organization and strategic planning skills

  • Goal and detail-oriented approach to client work
